# Steve's DVD Forum 2.0

**[Steve's DVD Forum](/dvdforum/)** version 2.0 is now up and running. Hopefully, most people won't even notice the difference, except of course that it's faster :)  
  
Version 2.0 is completely rewritten in [PHP](http://php.net) (instead of [Perl](http://www.perl.org)) and uses a [database](http://www.mysql.com) back end (instead of text files).
