# The WB cancels Angel

The WB network has announced the cancellation of [one of my favourite shows](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162065/), despite increased ratings over the same period last year. They are at least allowing them to finish the season, but I have my doubts as to how they're going to end the series gracefully with less than half a season left to shoot.   
  
On the bright side, there is talk of movies and otherwise continuing the Buffy/Angel universe. Perhaps the end of the show will be what it takes to get [more](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004989/) [Buffy](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001264/) [cast](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0107183/) [members](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0372117/) to guest star on Angel.
