Canadian Gov't to raise taxes on recordable media

I'm sure many people have seen this on Slashdot, but I think this needs as much exposure as it can get.

Here is a PDF describing the atrocity. Basically we're looking at $1.23 for all CD-RWs, $2.27 for all DVD-Rs, and a completely ridiculous $21/Gig tax on portable MP3 players. That's $420 for a Nomad! WTF?!
